Best Carl Jung Quotes
Carl Jung Quotes About Self, Love, Shadow, Life, Darkness, Dreams, Unconscious & Spirituality! Carl Jung (born on July 26, 1875) was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded the field of analytical psychology. It has significantly impacted psychology, psychiatry, anthropology, archaeology, poetry, philosophy, and religious studies. Eugen Bleuler was Jung mentor as a research scientist at the renowned Burghölzli hospital. It was not long before Sigmund Freud became aware of his work. During their extended contact, the two men developed a shared understanding of human psychology.
As a result, Freud secured Jung’s position as President of the International Psychoanalytical Association, which he saw as the successor to psychoanalysis’s “new science.” While his research and personal vision made it hard for him to adhere to his elder colleague’s doctrine, a split was unavoidable. Because of this split, Jung established his analytical psychology as distinct from psychoanalysis. This was a challenging experience for him.
One of the essential ideas in analytical psychology is individuation, which refers to separating one’s conscious and unconscious aspects. Jung regarded it to be the most critical job of human growth. He developed several psychological ideas, including the archetypal phenomenon, collective unconscious, psychological complex, and extraversion/introversion, all of which are well recognized.
Jung was also an artist, a craftsman, a builder, and a prolific writer. In addition to his work in psychology, he traveled the globe and authored more than 200 papers on the topics he studied while on the road. As part of Man and His Symbols, Jung wrote: “Approaching the Unconscious” in 1961, his last piece of writing. After a brief illness, Jung passed away on June 6, 1961, in Küsnacht.
