The most probable year of Carver’s birth was 1864 when he was born into slavery in Diamond, Missouri, during the American Civil War. His bulletin, entitled “How to Grow the Peanut” and “105 Ways of Preparing it for Human Consumption,” was released within a year of discovering several new strategies for cultivating them. Because of these tactics, he was able to boost the output of peanuts and even become internationally famous. He wrote many articles about using peanuts for different bulletins and a column called “Professor Carver’s Advice. On January 5, 1943, Carver died when he fell down the stairs at his house. In recognition of his important achievements to Southern agriculture as a botanist, he has received several honours, such as the “Roosevelt Medal.”
